As the Director of the Cancer Rehab and Survivorship Program at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Asher has been dedicated to addressing the needs of the whole patient.  He provides pain management, individualized exercise prescriptions and functional evaluation and treatments to his patients.  His colleagues know him to be an expert in symptom management and in helping patients reintegrate into the community addressing the patients’ physical, psychosocial and caregiver needs as well.  Dr. Asher has provided education in managing the “whole” cancer patient to multiple groups including the staff at Cedars Sinai.  He completed a fellowship in Cancer Rehabilitation at MD Anderson which focused on the physical and functional issues of cancer patients and survivors.  We are proud to honor his practice today.  Congratulations Dr. Asher on your Award of Excellence for the work you do to relieve pain and patients’ suffering.
