As a psychologist, Judy has a unique understanding of the complex pain and symptoms experienced by patients suffering with AIDS. Since 1999 Judy has been providing psychotherapy to patients at the AIDS Services Foundation in Orange County. Her compassion and tenacity to advocate for adequate pain relief for her patients is remarkable. Colleagues are in awe of Judy’s ability to meet the challenge of treating the most complex cases involving patients’ physical, spiritual and psychological pain. In her expertise, Judy understands the importance of team involvement; she regularly refers patients to physicians for appropriate pain assessments and treatment. Her reputation with physicians is excellent/ her judgment is trusted. One colleague who knows her well remarks “Judy is one of the most giving and compassionate people I know, working with some of the most difficult people and complex pain problems in medicine, and she does so tirelessly and with a loving heart.”  We are proud to recognize Judy with the Award of Excellence.  Congratulations!
